How this is measured

  • Assistants are identified by the user-agent they announce, the same method most bot-analytics tools use. Treat it as a strong signal, not proof.
  • Visitors are attributed from the referring site or the tracking tag the assistant adds to its links. Nothing personal is stored, only daily counts.
  • Google AI Overviews and AI Mode arrive as ordinary Google search traffic and cannot be separated from it, so only Gemini is credited to Google here.
  • Ranking weights visitors sent first, live answers second, index building third. Training crawls are listed but never ranked.
