New Image Roofing & Construction Expands Into Concrete With Concrete Amigos

New Image Roofing & Construction · Benton, KS · ·

Since 2006, New Image Roofing & Construction has built its name on roofs across the greater Wichita area. The work covers residential replacements, commercial flat roofs, storm and insurance claims, and Nucor pre-engineered metal buildings. Now the Benton-based contractor is working from the roofline down to the ground. Its concrete division, Concrete Amigos, pours driveways, patios, sidewalks, shop floors and commercial flatwork for homeowners and businesses across Wichita and south-central Kansas.

One family, two brands

Concrete Amigos has its own name, its own look and its own website at concreteamigos.com. It’s also part of the New Image Roofing & Construction family. Both brands work out of the same home base at 13812 SW 20th St in Benton, and both bring the same standards to the job site. Concrete-only customers get a crew that does nothing but flatwork. New Image customers get one more trade they don’t have to hire out.

That second point matters most on bigger projects. A new metal shop or commercial building needs excavation, footings and a slab before the steel arrives. New Image can pour that slab, put up the frame, then clad and roof the building. That means one contractor, one schedule and one phone number from dirt to door handles.

What Concrete Amigos pours

For homeowners:

  • Concrete driveways and approaches, including tear-out and replacement of cracked or sunken concrete
  • Sidewalks, walkways and steps
  • Patios, under-deck slabs and outdoor living spaces
  • Garage and shop floors
  • Decorative and stamped concrete

For businesses, developers and general contractors:

  • Parking lots and curbs
  • Foundations and building slabs, including slabs for metal and post-frame buildings
  • Loading docks
  • Commercial sidewalks and ramps
  • Structural concrete

Built for Kansas ground

Concrete in Kansas has to handle clay soil, freeze-thaw cycles and summer heat. New Image’s approach starts underneath the slab. Crews excavate and compact a gravel base so the slab doesn’t settle. They pour walks and patios at 4 inches and driveways and shops at 5 to 6 inches. Fiber mesh comes standard, with rebar where the loads call for it, and control joints are cut at the right spacing so any cracking happens where it’s meant to.

Coming soon: your price before the phone call

New Image is about to launch a new website, and it’s built with concrete customers in mind. Its centerpiece is a concrete slab estimator. Answer six quick questions about your project, and it instantly shows an installed-price range for your slab. You don’t even have to enter your email to see the number. If you like what you see, you can send your details to lock in 10% off when you schedule the work.

For reference, most residential flatwork New Image pours runs about $8 to $12 per square foot installed with a standard broom finish, before tear-out or decorative finishes. The estimator narrows that down for your exact size, thickness and finish.

Until the new site goes live, both brands are a phone call away, and estimates are free.
