Brand-New Furniture Just Landed at DT's Outlet, and the Appliance Floor Got Fuller Too
Something good happened on West Street this week. A truck of brand-new furniture backed up to DT’s Outlet, the appliance side of the floor got a fresh round of tested and rebuilt washers, dryers, ranges and refrigerators, and the price tags, as always, came with a little personality. If saving money is supposed to feel like a chore, nobody told the folks at 601 North West Street.
First, the thing people always get wrong
DT’s is two stores under one roof, and they don’t mix. The furniture is new. Not used, not restored, not consignment. The family buys direct from the distributor, skips the showroom markup, and hands the difference to you. The appliances are the opposite story on purpose: quality used units that get tested, cleaned up and tagged before they ever touch the floor, with a 90-day warranty behind them. What landed this week
Sectionals are the headline. Big ones with chaises, a plush corduroy piece that swallows pillows whole, a gray sectional with its own matching ottoman, and a cream power recliner sectional with the buttons right there on the arm. There’s a green tufted sofa and chair for anyone who wants their living room to have a point of view, plus reclining sofas, loveseats and the tables and bed frames that go with them. On the appliance side, the fresh arrivals include stainless front-load washer and dryer pairs on pedestals, top-load sets, French-door and side-by-side refrigerators, and a long row of gas and electric ranges. Every photo below was taken on the actual floor this week. No catalog shots, no stock photos, and fair warning: some of it sells the same week it’s photographed.Tap any photo for the full-size version. Prices on the tags are as of this week and change as the floor turns over.
About those skulls
It’s October, so the appliance tags are riding on grinning skulls. The skulls are seasonal. The prices aren’t a trick. Each tag spells out the warranty, what’s been done to the unit and the number you’ll actually pay, which is the part DT’s has been doing for three decades. Why saving money should feel like this
Nobody plans for the dryer to quit or the couch to give out. DT’s treats that moment like what it is: a chance to walk out with something better than you expected for less than you feared. Payment plans are available on both appliances and furniture, and they’ve been doing easy payments for Wichita families for thirty years. They deliver anywhere in the Wichita metro, so a sectional is not a car-roof job. Cash App ($dtswest) and Venmo (@dtswest) work too. Before you head over
- Bring measurements. Room dimensions, doorway widths and the hole your old washer left behind. It’s the difference between a piece that fits and a second trip.
- Replacing an appliance? A photo of the old one and its model number helps the crew match hookups and sizes fast.
- Call ahead if you want something specific. 316-945-8866. They’ll walk the floor and tell you what’s actually there today. Two minutes on the phone saves you the drive.
- Sit on it first. A sofa photographs one way and feels another. Check the cushion, the stitching and the depth.
